Bed-Stuy Has the Most New Buildings in the Pipeline

Gentrifying Crown Heights or still-booming Williamsburg may seem like thebusiest neighborhoods for new development in Brooklyn, but according to data from the Department of Buildings, that distinction falls to Bed-Stuy. The Real Deal reports that 33 new residential building applications were filed in the neighborhood during the first quarter of 2015. That's three times more than Bushwick, which came in second with 11 applications. Williamsburg saw 10, while Crown Heights only had seven. Brooklyn as a whole is still the busiest borough, with 103 applications for a total of 3,311 apartments.
